We Care/ We Share, Inc. began as a way for our founder, Patrick Medwinter, to give back to his community in Jamaica W.I. It is through his vision for a better Jamaica that “We Care” was born.
Over the past 25 years, with the help of family and friends We Care/ We Share, Inc. has donated school supplies, book bags, computers, food, clothing, reading books, toys, and sponsored back-to-school and sporting events and began an entrepreneurship Chicken Program.
WCWS not only sponsors students, but we also sponsor classroom teachers with scissors, rulers, workbooks and lesson schemes. We have donated books to a primary school library. We have also provided fans for a more comfortable learning experience for students.
WCWS has also donated to an infirmary, hospitals and clinics around Jamaica.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic WCWS sponsored a Chicken Program. WCWS provided chickens and their feed to entrepreneurs. This program allowed individuals to create a business to support their families. During the Covid-19 pandemic, WCWS has provided care packages for over 1,500 families around Jamaica. Additionally, WCWS has donated face masks, gloves, digital and infrared thermometers to a clinic in Jamaica.
